Our Story

Our story begins in Vermont, back in 2009 when Jonathan was just 12 years old. His family's dog had recently passed away, and some friends wanted to give him his very own golden retriever puppy! It was a little girl, and he named her Ivy. As Ivy grew up, he thought it would be fun to breed her and have a litter of puppies! Which he did! As time went on, he continued having puppies. He got another female, and then another, and another... His parents helped him with advertising and finding homes for all the babies. He loved his dogs and would often take them along on his adventures... hunting, fishing, hiking, or just sitting in the woods and thinking.

Fast forward 9 years- Jonathan and his dogs moved to Texas! He also met me and we quickly fell in love. I had ALWAYS loved dogs, and spent my childhood years pulling my stuffed animal dogs around on leashes, trying to pretend like they were real. My family didn't have a dog growing up, so you can imagine my excitement when I realized I wasn't only getting to marry the most amazing guy in the whole world, BUT he also had several golden retrievers and raised puppies!

We got married in the fall of 2019 and we now reside in the small town of Big Sandy, Texas.  Jonathan is a firefighter at the Longview Fire Department, but he still finds time to hang out with our dogs and help me with all of the puppy responsibilities! Raising puppies who are fully equipped to enter the real world is literally a full time job and I absolutely love every bit of it. All the late nights, the early mornings, helping mommies deliver their babies, the puppy kisses, cleaning up a thousand messes, taking pictures, brushing our big dogs, giving too many baths to count, throwing waaaay too many tennis balls, getting to watch as the tiny newborn puppies grow into chubby, fluffy, adorable baby dogs- AND my favorite part of all- getting to place each one of our puppies in the arms of someone who already adores them at least as much as I do. That's truly the best part. â€‹
